Rudie Venter, our blue-eyed golden boy, grew up on an angora farm in the Karoo and headed to the University of Pretoria to get his degree in Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness Management. He thought of going back to take over the family business, but halfway through his studies switched to psychology. Human behavior, he realized, was more interesting than raising sheep.
Rudie has always been curious about what makes us tick and went on to focus his masters on problem gambling. Along the way, he discovered the wonderful world of online gambling (responsibly of course!) and supplemented his meager student earnings by writing about his newfound passion. Today, Rudie wears many hats – sometimes psychologist, sometimes gambling councilor, sometimes online gambling writer.
